Most of my work has involved making large, wheel-thrown, stoneware bowls, both glazed and unglazed. The majority of the glazes are mixed in the studio from recipes developed in Japan and Korea many centuries ago. The gas kiln is fired to 1280°C with reduction from 1000°C; this results in an extremely tough body and long-lasting surface.
