Grant Walker - unglazed and part-glazed pots

The two pots on the left were made after my first visit to Lulworth Cove.
Each uses a variety of clays to mimic the tortured coastline.

When we were growing up my grandfather owned a small shack in Kinglake, outside Melbourne. Then, in February 2009, one of Australia's worst bushfires burned through Kinglake killing 173 people and destroying the shack.

Pots which are partially glazed can offer not just colour contrast but silky smooth and coarse surfaces in the same vessel.
